Joining Hyundai’s ARK Performance Veloster Turboat this year’s SEMA Show floors will be yet another specially tuned version of the South Korean maker's sporty hatchback, this one being prepared by digital media distribution company and publisher of Wrecked Magazine, PM Lifestyle.PM Lifestyle's approach, however, will be different as the company teamed up with the students at Universal Technical Institute (UTI) with the goal of presenting modifications that can be "achieved in real-world garages".“The Veloster is the perfect platform for enthusiasts looking to make everyday modifications to their vehicles and for students who are learning what it takes to be a mechanic,” said Jayke Milton, Build Coordination, PM Lifestyle.
“It’s fairly simple to bolt equipment on and off the Veloster sub-frame, making it easy for people to make modifications in their own garages. Plus, the three-doors on the Veloster give it a unique look, making it a very exciting, stand-out car," he added.
Among other modifications, the PM Lifestyle Veloster will feature a tuned 1.6-liter engine producing 163-horses, a custom blue paintjob, a carbon-fibre hood and a full aero kit, new wheels and a bespoke leather interior.
Following its premiere at the Las Vegas SEMA show in November, the PM Lifestyle Veloster will go on a three-year tour with UTI, making more than 120 appearances at various autocross and school demonstration events.
